Our Staff
The staff at Hillsdale Gymnastics is professionally trained by USA Gymnastics. Master Staff Members are CPR and First Aid certified as well as USAG Safety Certified. Some members have PDP and KAT certification as well. The staff loves children and realizes that having FUN in a safe environment has to play an integral part in every lesson so the children will want to return.
Jill Hardway (Owner, Director)
 Jill Hardway is a graduate of Hillsdale College and during that time began this business in 1986 as Hillsdale Gymnastics Center. She celebrates her 23rd year in business this year. Jill has a BA in Elementary Education and a BA in Physical Education. This dual degree helped her develop unique ideas for teaching preschoolers and is respected as one of the best in the state. Jill completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in May of 2008. Jill has been a state speaker for the USA Gymnastics Region 5 conferences. Jill is USA Gymnastics Safety Certified. She is KAT certified, and PDP 1&2 certified. Jill is certified with the American Red Cross in First Aid and CPR. In past years she has coached and judged high school gymnastics for Hillsdale, Lumen Christi, and Coldwater High. She coached National and High School Champions Courtney Shaneour and Kara Cretsinger from the age of five. She co-coached the Hillsdale College Cheerleaders to two National Titles. Jill added the dance studio in 2003. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for key women educators, and the local Michigan Child Study group. She is the current chairperson for the City of Hillsdale Recreation Commission, and has been a YMCA Kimball Camp Teacher for seventeen years. She has served as a Chamber of Commerce Board Member, and has established two funded scholarships through the Community Foundation for female athletes. The Kara Cretsinger Gymnastics Scholarship and the Alice MacNeil Track Scholarship. She married Bob in 1991 and has two sons, Zachary and Brooks.
Kim Hoag (Dance Director)
 Kim Hoag has been teaching at Hillsdale Gymnastics since 2003. She is a former dance student of Loree Russeau, famous choreographer and dancer from Monroe, Michigan. Kim graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in education. Kim has been a first grade teacher at Bailey Elementary School for fourteen years. She is a certified Dance Masters instructor, and passed all levels of checchetti ballet. Kim was a member of several performing Dance Troupes throughout high school and college. Kim is a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for key women educators, and the local Michigan Child Study Group. Kim has two beautiful daughters, Gabrielle and Gillian.
Mindy Boyd (Cheer Director)
 Mindy Boyd is the mother of three (Bailey 10, Braxten 6, & Brylee 3) and she has been married to Brett for thirteen years. She has a BS in Education from Central Michigan University and an MBA from Spring Arbor University. Mindy has over ten years of experience coaching competitive cheerleading and has served as a MHSAA cheerleading judge from 1993-2001. She teaches computers at the Hillsdale High School and designs Web pages in her spare time. Mindy co-coached the Hillsdale College Cheerleaders from 2000-2004 and brought home two National Titles. Mindy was the head gymnastics coach for Hillsdale High School in 2005-2006. Mindy is a member of various community organizations and spends time with many volunteer organizations in Hillsdale. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, cooking and vacationing with her family.
